My Commitments to You

Specific, trackable promises for the Jackman Faculty of Law. Not vague intentions, but real deliverables you can hold me to. These are commitments on top of the full duties the role already carries, not a substitute for them.

Personal Commitments

Beyond policy goals, these are the personal standards I hold myself to as your representative.

  • Accessible and Present, Guaranteed

Consider me always on the record. Whether it's an email, a conversation in the atrium, or a formal meeting, I will be accessible to hear your concerns. I don't hide behind form responses or silence.

  • Present and Professional, Always

I show up ready to represent you. Prepared, present, and professional in every meeting, event, and interaction on your behalf.

  • Proactive Updates, Bi-Weekly

Bi-weekly video briefings. This live tracker. I will tell you what your student government is doing before you have to ask. Silence from your representative is not acceptable.

I’m sure many of you have heard campaign speeches that promise the moon and fall far short of it. I’m not going to do that to you, which is exactly why I built this tracker.”

About Me

I’m a first-year JD candidate at Jackman (Class of 2028). Before law school I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science at Carleton University, graduating with High Distinction.

This year I have been serving as your 1L SLS Representative on the Social and Finance Committee, helping plan the Halloween Party, the Law Ball, and Frost Week, and participating in the allocation of funds to student clubs. I have also been selected as one of three Orientation Coordinators for next year’s 1L orientation week. I know how this institution works from the inside.

Outside school, I volunteer as a Case Worker at Downtown Legal Services (Employment Law Division) and have volunteered across ten summers as a Canoe Trip Leader for low-income youth in the remote wilderness. I am also committing to not going on exchange so you never lose access to your representative when it matters most.

Why Vote for Me

  • A plan, not a platform

Nine specific, trackable promises with a live public record. Not aspirations you have to take on faith, but deliverables you can check any day of my term.

  • Not learning on the job

I have spent this year on the Social and Finance Committee allocating student funds and organizing events. I know the budget, the people, and the process before day one.

  • Two years, not one

As a 2L President, I can run again. That means continuity and compounding experience rather than handing the role to someone who has to start from scratch every year.
